Hello everyone! I got home not too long ago from auditions at Universal Studios and I opened my email to find some of the best news I have received. I landed my dream role of Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde in the upcoming musical being produced at the Osceola Center For The Arts. I am going to give this my all!!!! See you all in October ;)
The other day I did something that I NEVER thought I would be able to do. As most of you may know, especially if you know me personally, I am so afraid of singing on stage. I've always been so insecure of my voice and felt that I could not sing. Well I overcame my fear! When I found out that the Osceola Center For The Arts was going to be producing the Jekyll & Hyde musical (my favorite musical) I knew I had to audition even if it meant facing one of my biggest fears. I was very nervous and afraid, especially when the director called my name to go on stage first, but I overcame it. Once I was on that stage I realized it wasn't as bad as I had made up in my mind. Fear is only as powerful as you let it be. It's all in your mind. I can honestly say that after singing and facing my fear I felt like I could conquer the world! Plus it was a ton of fun! If there is anything I want you to get out of this is to not be afraid to do the things that you love, that fill you with passion. Fear is the number one dream killer in the world and if you let it run you it will keep you from many wonderful life experiences. Face your fears!!!
Well it's official, filming of Partnership has been completed. Apart from a few minor things that need to be done the film is pretty much wrapped up. I had tons and tons of fun working on this film and I found a new intensity within myself I didn't even know I had. Plus I met some amazing, talented people and reunited with old friends whom I got to work with on screen all while making new ones behind the scenes. Is there anything better than that? I think not! Thanks again, Francisco and crew for the opportunity and faith you had in me to work on this film. It truly is an honor. I can't wait for the next time we work together again. Partnership will be premiering hopefully in September or early October so stay tuned for the updates. Another project I'm involved with called The Adventures of Gerard Dupris has released the cast list and promo trailer today! I listened to it and man I have got to say it is awesome! Trust me you won't be disappointed. Support us at http://www.nolanoir.com/ where you can view the cast list (and me!) and watch the promo below. God bless you guys and to all supporters, I love you all! More news coming soon ;) Hey everyone! I wanted to make a video but I was getting too emotional and really couldn't express myself. I'm better at writing things anyway. I had a pretty long day today with auditions and rehearsals for the Partnership film I'm shooting tomorrow and I was exhausted so like any normal person I took a nap. The news I received when I woke up really shook me. Robin Williams, one of the performers I enjoyed watching on the screen as a kid, had passed away due to an apparent suicide. This news really struck my heart not only because I grew up watching his films and is one of the main reasons why I pursue my dream career but because I have personally struggled with depression early on my life and know how devastating it can be. Til this day I still feel the grasp it once had on me and I can tell you my friends it is not a fun feeling. Depression makes you feel hollow, like there is nothing inside. You don't even feel human. When you look at yourself in the mirror it's like viewing your flaws and insecurities through a magnifying glass; anything and everything negative you can think of yourself comes out. I can only imagine the pain, the loneliness Robin Williams felt as he stared at himself in the mirror each day hoping and longing for someone to show him the meaning of happiness and of love, for someone to be real with him. When I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror ten years ago holding the bottle of pills in my hands ready to end it all that's what I felt. I just yearned to be loved. To feel wanted. Important. Love is the most powerful force in the world my friends and it is the one thing that we ALL long for. Show love, mercy, and compassion to those around you. A simple act of genuine kindness and love can change a person forever and can even save a life contemplating suicide. I know because I was saved by LOVE. With that I just want to say thank you, Robin, for the memories, the laughs, the tears, and the inspiration you gave me and countless others to dream. Genie, you're free. I'm going to miss you...
John 13:34-35: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." It has been an extremely exciting day for me. I made my first EVER voice over appearance on a really cool project that I'm ecstatic about. It was quite challenging especially, when I had to use a Cajun accent for one of the characters I portray. I never even dreamed of using an accent as crazy as that! Overall, I had a blast and I cannot wait to record again. Please please please check out the website, visit the store, and stay tuned for some great storytelling!
It's finally locked in and official! August 12 &13th we will be shooting The Partnership short film. This is a project I'm super excited about and I cannot wait to start shooting. Whooooo!
A BTS look at a scene we shot for the P.O.U.N.D. film the other day. Good stuff and it was pretty cool being in charge of the audio for the film. When artists can collaborate on a project great things happen :)
This question has been coming up a lot: which would be my dream role/film to star in? That is a very difficult question for me to answer in one blog post. I have so many character roles that I would love to portray and films I would love to be a part of but I'll give you a few of my absolute favorite:
1. Jurassic Park (preferably a raptor or T-Rex) 2. Jaycen Solo in Star Wars 3. Jekyll & Hyde 4. Hawkman or Cable (comic book nerds unite!) 5. The Joker from Batman 6. An elf in the LOTR series If you had the opportunity to be in a film as your favorite character who would you choose to portray and why? I cant wait to read your responses! :) Yesterday was our first pre-production meeting for the upcoming short-film "The Partnership". I got to meet the cast and crew and man was it awesome to know I'll be working with some really good friends of mine on this film. There is nothing better than creating art with friends who are just as passionate about it as you are. :D this film is going to be pretty amazing!
